What kind of degree should I get?

I have a huge interest in space, astronomy, physics, and the universe in general. But I also have an interest in designing and building the things that help explain and explore the universe. So I was wondering what degree should I go for? Should I major in something like physics and minor in engineering or visa versa? Will I need a PhD or masters in one or both of them? Also what schools are the best for these degrees (within reason, I wasn't a straight A genius in high school)?
